No more traffic, no more standing in line, reduced manual entry, reduced paper.
Having re-engineered and standardized Jamaica’s trade and logistics processes, we provide simple and effective business
tools for the Jamaican Port Community. Our intuitive online user interface allows you to communicate directly with Customs
and other key players using computers, smartphones and other electronic devices.
With a single point of entry, we have reduced the number of manual paper-based tasks and recurring errors, having streamlined your work activities from start to finish. You can now focus on the things that actually matter (operations and logistics).
Our cloud-based platform is designed to facilitate 24/7/365 availability and is accessible from anywhere. We have built
multiple layers of redundancy into the Port Community System’s architecture. We also have teams that are dedicated to
monitoring and ensuring service continuity.
Even our backups have backups.
By combining modern best practices with ground-breaking “intelligent security” tactics we use enterprise-grade protection
for customer data. Having been entrenched deep inside a large and advanced security ecosystem, data security is the last
thing you’ll need to worry about.
If we’re to be honest, enterprise-grade is probably an understatement.
Jamaica’s Port Community System, “JamaicaPCS”, enables intelligent, secure and reliable exchange of information, connecting public and private stakeholders in order to
improve the competitive position of the Jamaican sea and airport communities. It will optimize, manage and automate many port and logistics processes, ultimately providing the country with first-world
logistics and trade facilitation capabilities. Its success will serve to bolster the country’s ranking in the international shipping industry, ultimately leading to economic growth and development.
The PCS is facilitated by the Port Authority of Jamaica in partnership with the Jamaica Customs Agency, along with the support of the Shipping Association of Jamaica. It is accessible to all members of the Port
Community with moderate user fees that are among the lowest in the world. While technology has contributed enormously to this accomplishment, the project’s true success is a result of the ongoing collaboration and
contributions of many stakeholders across the local Port Community.
We are going to remove as much paper as possible across the port community’s logistics processes. This will yield significant cost savings in addition to
security and efficiency improvements for all involved. First step, remove paper-based transactions...
